Christmas Fayre 2013

We had a fantastic time at our Panto themed Christmas Fayre today. We had a variety of games, bric-a-brac and some great cakes and crafts. Not only did  everyone have an enjoyable time, but we raised £424 for our Missions.

A big thank you to everyone who gave their time and those who came to support the event.

Fabulous Fireworks

We had a fantastic bonfire and firework party last Friday evening – and this time the weather stayed fair. The fireworks were followed by a very tasty supper of soup, jacket potatoes and sausages.

Breakfast Service – ASCEND

On Sunday we had inspirational Breakfast Service where we heard several moving stories of how ASCEND have changed people’s lives. We shared our prayers for ASCEND’s work on this prayer tree.

If you would like to find out more about ASCEND, why not go along to their Black History Day this Thursday from 11 till 3.

1940s Evening

1940s Evening

We had a fantastic 1940s themed evening last Friday. Several of us dressed up and the church hall was bedecked with Union Flags. We enjoyed period food and all joined in with a uplifting sing along. Everyone had an enjoyable time and we raised over £200 for our Missions. Thank you to everyone who made the evening a success and all those who came and supported the event.

Confirmations 2013

This evening we gave a warm welcome to Bishop Alan who came to preside at All Saints’ for our Confirmation Service. Congratulations to the newly confirmed from our congregation, Beverley, Kay and Joy as well as Tom who joined us from Soul Survivor. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue their journey of faith, which as Bishop Alan reminded us, doesn’t stop at the confirmation service.
